The first concert of the Cambra del Migjorn series takes place in Cala Figuera, one of the most distinctive landscapes on the Mallorcan coast.

With the sea as a backdrop, Catalina Roig Burguera and Rafael González Paz present a programme inspired by water, movement and contemplation.

Through works by Claude Debussy, Philippe Gaubert, Joachim Andersen, Michio Miyagi, Georges Hüe and Maurice Ravel, flute and piano create a musical journey that enters into dialogue with the landscape and the stillness of the night.

Catalina Roig’s flute and Rafael González Paz’s piano come together in this concert by the sea, inviting listeners to experience the landscape through music. Since first meeting at the Festival Internacional Vila de Santanyí in 2023, they have performed together across the Balearic Islands, developing an artistic understanding reflected in the natural dialogue between the two instruments.

Catalina Roig, a flautist from Santanyí, combines performing with an extensive teaching activity. Closely linked to chamber music, she approaches each concert as a unique experience shaped by place, moment and audience.

Rafael González Paz, a pianist born in Montevideo, has developed an international career performing in venues and festivals across Europe and Latin America. Trained in Germany and Hungary, he combines concert activity with teaching and maintains a close collaboration with the Balearic Symphony Orchestra.
