Biography
Flautist Catalina Roig Burguera, born in Santanyí (Mallorca) in 1980, is known for her refined technique and deeply expressive playing. She began her musical training at the Santanyí Municipal School of Music with Enrique Palau, continuing at the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands, where she was awarded top marks (Matrícula de Honor) in both Elementary and Intermediate levels. She later completed her studies with distinction at the Municipal Conservatory of Music in Barcelona. She has collaborated with several orchestras, including the Haydn Orchestra of Barcelona and the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra.
Pianist Rafael González Paz, born in Montevideo in 1988, began his training with Carmen Mutarelli and Raquel Boldorini. In Chile, he studied with María Iris Radrigán, winning First Prize and the Honor Medal at the Flora Guerra Piano Competition. In Europe, he studied with Grigory Gruzman (University of Music in Weimar) and with Rita Wagner and András Kemenes (Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest), earning his Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees with honours. He has also benefited from private tuition with the renowned pianist Homero Francesch.
He has performed in major concert halls such as Teatro Solís (Montevideo), Teatro del Lago (Chile), and the Palace of Arts in Budapest. Since 2022, he has lived in the Balearic Islands, where he combines concert performance with teaching, offering recitals marked by passion and musical refinement.
