Biography
Laura de la Fuente
Born in Palma (Mallorca) in 1991, Laura de la Fuente began her vocal studies at the age of 16 at the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands under Joana Llabrés. She later moved to Italy to continue her training with Paola Fornasari, Ornella Pratesi, Roberto Iuliano, and Gloria Scalchi. She is currently studying with Ornella Pratesi.
Her operatic roles include Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Sor Dolcina (Suor Angelica), the Al·lota (L’anell de ferro), Emilia (Otello), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), and Santuzza (Cavalleria Rusticana). She has also performed as a soprano soloist in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, B. Marcello’s Psalm 18, Galuppi’s Magnificat, and in contemporary premieres such as La terra purificada by M. Traverso and Vesprals by Llorenç Prats.
In November 2024, she will debut as Adalgisa in Bellini’s Norma, and in December as Flora in Verdi’s La Traviata.
She has worked under conductors such as Luis Remartinez, Vittorio Lumbroso, Christian Frattima, Xisco Bonnin, Roberto Bongiovanni, José Escandell, and Rolando Nicolosi.
She has been awarded the first prize at the Rolando Nicolosi International Competition, second prize at the MAP-IMC International Contest in Los Angeles, third prize at the Art Jove competition in the Balearic Islands, and a special mention at the Scarlatti Competition in Lithuania.
Together with pianist Llorenç Prats, she has won prizes in international chamber music competitions in London and Verona, including first prize at the Elsa Respighi International Competition (2023) and a finalist spot at the OpusLirica competition (2024). She has also received a contemporary music scholarship with her quartet.
She has attended masterclasses with Joan Pons, María José Montiel, Christian Frattima, Antonella Cesari, Marta Vella, Maria Àngels Sarroca, Eva Marco, and Amelia Felle.
Llorenç Prats Boscà
Born in Ibiza in 1990, Llorenç Prats is a pianist and composer with an active career both as a performer and creator. He trained at the Professional Conservatory of Ávila and the Superior Conservatory of Salamanca, where he graduated with top honors in piano, chamber music, and contemporary music in 2013.
He then completed a master’s degree at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, studying with professors such as András Kemenes, Jenő Jandó, Márta Gulyás, Rita Wagner, and Gábor Csalog. He further developed his skills in composition with Judit Várga and Péter Tornyai and began doctoral studies in performance.
He has taken masterclasses with György Kurtág, Ferenc Rados, Claudio Martínez-Mehner, Kennedy Moretti, and Josep Colom. Focused on chamber and contemporary music, he has performed in Spain, Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia, and Uruguay.
He has collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands (OSIB), the Spanish National Youth Orchestra, and the Ibiza City Symphony Orchestra. He was also pianist for the University Choir of the Balearic Islands and has participated in opera and contemporary music productions at the Teatre Principal de Palma.
His notable projects include the premiere of Alegrías by M. Hidalgo with the Burgos Orchestra, Vortex Temporum by Grisey with THReNSeMBLe at the Atlátszo Hang Festival in Budapest, and Gran Mar by Matías Far with OSIB under conductor Zsolt Nagy.
